Here is what I will never understand, if we are the writers of our own story, why do we let other people dictate how it goes? Why do we let that nasty little voice in the back of our minds tell us what we are going to do? How dare the little demons of doubt claw their way into what you are capable of, and they hide behind our cants.
It’s been nearly a month since we last spoke. I can blame work, life or anything else that pops up in a day, but I’ve just been out of touch. I’ve put off blogging for a while and it’s just because I really didn’t feel like it.
Imagine the throbbing sounds of disco pulsing in the background. Knickerbockers and pigtails a plenty while the smell of fried foods lingering over the smell of sweat and aftershave. Gaggles of young people all gliding effortlessly across the smooth concrete while a mirror ball illuminates the night.
Something that never ceases to amaze me is how cynical everyone is at this time of year – and by this time of year, I mean a new one. All of the New Year, New Me talk has everyone’s half empty side showing in a big way, and it’s so lame.
