Working out and weight loss often goes hand in hand, so it makes sense to combine the two on your journey. Here are a few tips for weight loss and exercise success…
Breaking a sweat while trying to drop weight is half of the battle, but not the most important part! But, we do need to know what to do when we hit the ground running which is exactly what we’re going to delve into.
Switch it up
You probably know that there are cardio fans, CrossFit fans and everything in between. You may or may not have your fitness favourite yet, but a good place to start would be to shake up your workouts.
You can do this by signing up for a few classes instead of sticking to the treadmill or the elliptical. If you don’t belong to a gym yet, have a look online or in your local newspaper for classes that are cost effective and close by.
Work your core
They say that abs are made in the kitchen, but who are they and what kitchen do they use, right? Well, it is true. What you put into your tummy will define how it ends up looking. Make sure you have a lot of green veg and water in your diet to really help your metabolism and help all of those sit-ups do their job.

Feel the burn
When you are training and working hard in the gym, rather than powering through fast sets of one strength-training move, do one set of 10 slow, controlled reps. When you do this, you not only save time but it also maximises the time you’re spending in the gym.
Plus, by concentrating on how you are performing the repetitions you are targeting the muscles that you want to work, making the most of the workout.
Adding a few extra moves to your weight-loss plan can be just what you need to give you that boost. It could be exactly what you need to really make the most of your journey.
